Time Adventurers’ Club: Baking in the Past

Theme: Baking in the Past

Join the Heritage Abbotsford Society and the Fraser Valley Regional Library this Fall for our Time Adventurers’ Club series! Aimed at children aged 2-5, this free program will give kids the opportunity to grow their literacy skills and expand their curiosity through fun stories and activities centered around what life was like in the past. Learn about mangles and washtubs on old-fashioned laundry day; travel the rivers, rails, and trails in the time before cars; explore a day in the life on the olden days’ farm and discover the yummy treats and hard work of a historic kitchen. This series runs until the end of December and is generously funded by the Canada Post Community Foundation.

Christmas Open House

We’re partnering with Shelley Gossett from RE/MAX Little Oak Realty this December to celebrate the holiday season at our Christmas Open House! Come and view our historic house all decorated with 1920s Christmas flair and enjoy hot beverages and delicious holiday treats. We will be collecting donations for the food bank in lieu of an entry fee, so be sure to bring a non-perishable food item or cash donation with you. Get into the spirit of the season with some good old-fashioned style and generosity!
