Christmas Open House

Come celebrate the Holiday Season at the Trethewey House Christmas Open House! View the historic house decorated with 1920s Christmas flair, enjoy some light refreshments, and get into the spirit of the season with some old-fashioned style and generosity – bring a donation (a non-perishable food item or cash donation) for the Food Bank in lieu of an entry fee!

Mill Lake Walking Tour

Interested in learning about the history of Mill Lake or looking for a new perspective on your stroll around Mill Lake? Meet us on the concrete slab at Trethewey House Heritage Site and join one of our staff members for a guided walking tour around the Lake! Learn about Mill Lake’s storied past as a local and provincial lumber hub, discover the history of the Lake’s development and learn about the history of the surrounding community!

Aboriginal Arts and Culture Day

Aboriginal Arts & Culture Day 2018 & Heritage Abbotsford Society, operators of Trethewey House Heritage Site, is hosting a free family event Sunday June 10, 2018 from 10:00 am- 5:00 pm located at 2313 Ware Street, Abbotsford. In recognition of Aboriginal Awareness Month, Aboriginal Arts & Culture Events along with Heritage Abbotsford Society is honoured to present the 3rd Annual Aboriginal Arts and Culture Day 2018, an opportunity for the community to come and learn about Aboriginal arts, culture, history and traditions.  Attendees will have the rare and unique opportunity to watch Aboriginal artists create their work on site and purchase directly from the artist. Center Stage will feature traditional Sto:lo storyteller, powwow dancers, Metis jigger and an opportunity for the attendees to come up and learn the dances. Sto:lo Bannock Food truck will be on hand for you to experience traditional Sto:lo food. So come on down and learn and enjoy our unique Aboriginal & Metis arts and culture experience.
